Today we had our second class of thismodule.
We watched two short documentaries beforethe class. One is CHOA, and it tells a story about a South Korean girl whoplays hockey. The other is Transition, and it is about a man who lovesgraffiti. Both of them show a kind of life style through a person. And there isa sentence giving me deep impression, “Hockey is not just strength, it is usingstrength to help the team.”
After seeing these two short documentaries,we begin to give duties and jobs to every group member.
I’m the sound operatorof our group. The work of this job is very important in our documentary production, because sound plays a really important role in a video. Humanalways pay more attention to the sound of a video. Therefore, I will work hardto make sure there is no matter at sound in our documentary.
Then the class is over. Our group began ourfirst meeting. We talked about the possibly topic of our documentary such as theroller-skating student association, the foreign student who plays basketballvery well, the art students’ life, and the folk artists. We finally decided a topic about Chinese traditional clothes and accessories of the Han nationality. Because one of our group members, Katrina, know this kind of clothes and accessories very much, and she knows some people who dressed in it. Therefore, this topic is very convenient for us to shoot.
After deciding the topic, we made a general timetable for doing this assignment.
