A good cast will make the content morebelievable. It is very important to find the right actor for fulfilling the responsibilityof my story. Because our story can only be performed through an actor. It istheir performance that brings the audience into the role and into the filmworld. No matter how smooth the camera is, or how beautiful the scene is, ifthe audience can't trust your role, they will be hard to empathize with thestory we have created.
I think the most important thing is tochoose the right person to perform. If someone has no feeling about the rolethat he plays, it is impossible for him to create the character who you want.Therefore, the process of character selection processes is very important. Thoseactors who can convey certain submersible words with deep meaning and everymovement are absolutely suitable for us.
During this process, I think that actorssometimes have to perform by their own feelings. It is both an exciting and apainful process to help actors excavate their inner feelings. When we choosethe actors, we always want to find the actors who are both deep and fullydemonstrated in the role.
One thing that we need to remember is toremember that finding the right actor is just the beginning. There are a lot todo to let the story and the character move the audience. So how does theaudience empathize with the role, and breathe together with him / her? I feelthat we need to try at least in the following areas:
Modify the script to make it more refined (excellent scripts arefully attractive to excellent actors).
Refine the script and analyze the characters one by one.
Pick out the starring (It is half way to the success).
Choose a good partner to play.
Rehearsal (a variety of possibilities to try the script)
Interpret character roles by behavior or action.
Give character personality (dress, make-up, props, etc.).
Arrange the life scene of the role.
Each play can take a few more shots to get the best effect.
Cut the scenes and scenes into a whole.
Compose sound and music.
Selectan actor
The audience witnessed the development ofthe story through the actor's performance. If the audience does not care aboutthe fate of the characters in the story, then they don't care about the storyitself. The characters of several short films are impressive because their fateare mostly concerned by us. In “The LunchDate”，audience cares more on whether the woman willstand up, reaching the food which supposed to be her. In “Crazy Glue”, audience cares more on whether the broken couplewould get together. In “Mirror Mirror”, audience cares more on whether thewomen will tell them the secret of their body. In “The Citizen”, audience caresmore on whether the young people would across borders and finally come toCanada. These are all for us to be worried.
As we have a wrong experience on choosingthe proper actress, I have realized that the important relationship between theactor and the director. And they have establish at the beginning of theelection. If the filmmaker makes a mistake at the beginning, it will affect thewhole process of film production. This time, we faced to film it again. So,when we choose an actor, we should pay more attention and don't make a bigmistake next time. In addition, one thing to remember is that the actorselection process can not be perfect. Some actors may do well during aninterview, but it doesn't mean that only they are good actors. There's also avery good actor among the losers, but he doesn't play well and we haven’t findthem this time. They actually could make it.
The transition between music and scenes
For me, music and film are good friends.When I am writing the script, the first thing I am going to manage is findingthe music which has been played at the first scene.

The relationship between music and scene aresymbiotic relationship. When we add music for the video, we could consider theposition of the music. The answer would be between two scenes.
After watching so many films, I have foundthat music could become a part of setting. So, as a script writer, I havelistened to a lot of music and found the proper ones. This is what I haven’tknown before for a script writer.
During the scene transition, music couldachieve the following functions:
Increase the force for the next scene.
Decrease the force for the former scene.
Work in concert with the formeremotions.
Setting emotions for the nextscene.
Silence
If there is no silence, then the composer would lose the mosteffective arms.

Nowadays,it is hard to find a film which every time has audio companying. Film music isthe art of low tide and apex. The composer is good at distributing the complexemotions to every position that the audience could feel. The silence part ofthe film music is all pre-thought and planned.
So, thesilence is not equally to no music. It is the choice that the composer and directorhas considered. They are also the blank among the painting block. The silenceof the film music could apply and analyze different levels ‘dramatic force and brightness.
Forexample, in order to insert the silence, it is because silence could providethe sense of space and the sense of reality.
Besides,silence is also a rest way for connecting two scenes. It allows the audienceand the events keep the distance. It's not surrounded by a lot of information.Thus, this conversion is more powerful when the purpose of the scene conversionis to move to a completely different picture of the heart and the environment.
But themost important thing is that if use the silence as the contrast, more loudmusic enables us to fully understand the richness of a real scene.
