5月31日，广州市斐特思学校迎来重磅访问嘉宾——剑桥视觉表演艺术学院（CSVPA）校长访问团的参访。访问团人员包括CSVPA校长Karin Askham女士、中国业务拓展总监Renee He女士、中国产品和业务拓展副总监Dina Wu女士、CSVPA品牌大使Samantha Wang女士、中国院校合作经理Rachel Zhuang女士等。

On 31st May, FettesCollege Guangzhou welcomed a high-profile visiting guest, Rector of CambridgeSchool of Visual & Performing Arts (CSVPA) and her team. The visiting teamincluded Karin Askham, Rector of CSVPA; Renee He, China Business DevelopmentDirector; Dina Wu, China Associate Director, Product & BusinessDevelopment; Samantha Wang, CSVPA Brand Ambassador, and Rachel Zhuang, ChinaInstitutional Partnerships Manager.

在参观校园的过程中，广州斐特思师生代表向CSVPA校长一行介绍学校特色。当校长Karin女士看到黑匣子剧院的表演艺术中心、3D设计和服装设计等专业艺术教室时，眼中闪烁着惊叹的光芒。她表示在这里学习艺术的孩子很幸福，因为他们已经提前享受到世界一流的学习环境。在参观孩子们设计的艺术作品时，Karin女士被这些作品的创意和想象力所感染，赞叹不已。

During the campus tour,representatives of FCG's teachers and students introduced the school'scharacteristics to the CSVPA delegation. When Rector Karin saw the Black BoxTheatre, 3D design, and fashion design classrooms, her eyes sparkled with admiration.She said that children who study art here are very fortunate because they willenjoy a world-class learning environment in advance. When she visited theartworks designed by the students, Karin was impressed by the creativity andimagination of their work and praised them.

参观结束后，CSVPA校长Karin女士接受了访谈，针对广州斐特思师生特别关注的问题发表了自己的独特见解。就“如何打造艺术学院课程”、“如何为学生提供最佳艺术教育机会”、“如何支持学生为他们的志向做准备”等问题提出她宝贵的意见和建议。

After the visit, Rector Karinaccepted an interview. She gave her unique insights and suggestions on theissues that FCG's teachers and students are particularly concerned about, suchas "how to develop a comprehensive and effective curriculum for the ArtAcademy", "how to enhance the educational opportunities for FCGstudents", and "how will the Art Academy support and prepare them forthose aspirations".

当问及有哪些建议给有志趣追求视觉和艺术表演的学生时，Karin女士表示，在人工智能应用越来越广泛之际，创意艺术领域尤为重要。AI不能取代“创意”，因此她建议学生们积极参加与艺术相关课程，如艺术史、色彩与构图、戏剧表演等，亦可加入艺术团参加各种艺术比赛。同时学生们可以寻求专业人士的指导和支持，拓展自己的职业方向并了解行业发展趋势和需求。学生还应注重自己的多元化发展，学习其他相关的技能和知识，如数字媒体、平面设计和动画制作等。她认为视觉和表演艺术领域需要同学们不断努力学习，同时要注重多元化发展和与行业专业人士的交流合作，这样才能更好地实现自己的职业梦想。

When asked for advice for studentsinterested in pursuing visual and performing arts, Karin suggested that, as AIis becoming increasingly widespread, the creative arts field is particularlyimportant. AI cannot replace "creativity", so she recommended thatstudents actively participate in art-related courses, such as art history,colour and composition, and drama performance, and join art groups toparticipate in various art competitions. At the same time, students can seekprofessional guidance and support to expand their career direction andunderstand industry development trends and needs. Students should also payattention to their diversified development and learn other related skills andknowledge, such as digital media, graphic design and animation production. Shebelieves that the visual and performing arts industry requires students toconstantly strive for learning while emphasizing diversified development,communication and cooperation with industry professionals to achieve theircareer dreams better.

 

随后，Karin女士代表剑桥视觉表演艺术学院与广州市斐特思学校中外方总校长郑雷女士和盖朗宁先生进行签约和揭牌仪式。这标志着斐特思剑桥联合艺术书院正式成立，双方将在课程支持、教师交流、学生辅导方面展开多维度、深度的合作支持。

Afterwards, representing CSVPA RectorKarin and the Expat Hoc Jeroen Gakes and Chinese Hoc Julie Zheng of FCG, signeda contract and unveiled a plaque. It marks the official establishment of ArtAcademy. Both parties will launch multi-dimensional and in-depth cooperation includingcurriculum support, teacher exchange, and student counselling in the future.
