Previous Research Related to Transformational Leadership

From the perspective of research topics, I completedthe assignment in the previous research related transformational leadership.

J.M. Burns first articulated the idea oftransformational leadership in 1978, and he proposed two leadership approachedfor getting work done: transactional or transformational.( Robert N. Lussier,Christopher F. Achua,2010)

 Thetopic of transformational leadership mainly focused on conceptual changemodels, the context of change(Baer& Frese, 2003; Yammarino, F. J.,Spangler, W. D., & Bass, B. M. ,1993;House, R. J., & Shamir, B.,1993). The factor relating to organizational effectiveness(Armenakis& Bedeian, 1999; House,R.J., & Shamir,B.,1993)and the transformational leader behavior(Podsakoff,P. M., MacKenzie, S. B., & Bommer, W. H. ,1996;Podsakoff, P. M., MacKenzie, S. B., Moorman, R. H.,& Fetter, R. 1990;Podsakoff, P. M., MacKenzie, S. B., Paine, J. B., &Bachrach, D. G. 2000)have also received early attention from scholars. Somepaper discussed the moral quandary(Stephens, C. U., D’Intino, R. S., &Victor, B. ,1995). But, From the literaturereviewed, more scholars are paying attention to the organizational Cynicism(Davis,W., & Gardner, W., 2004; McClough,A. C., Rogelberg, S. G., Fisher, G. G., & Bachiochi, P. D. ,1998; Wanous, J. P., Reichers, A. E., & Austin, J. T. ,2000; Wanous, J. P., Reichers, A. E., & Austin, J. T. ,1994). For example,    WilliamH. Bommer, Gregorya. Rich, Robert S. Rubin’s (2005) key finding was that changeimplementers who engage in TLB can effectively reduce their subordinates’cynicism about organizational change.

The following table can intuitively express the topicsof transformational leadership in previous research.
